He is survived by : his wife Linda Atkins; his sons, James Atkins, Jr. and Jerry Atkins (Wilma); his grandchild Whitney Atkins (Chad McElhaney); and his siblings, Mildred Bagwell (Jerry), Betty Collins, Lois Dalton, Kyle Atkins (Grace), Clarence Atkins and Elvin Atkins. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
