He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Parsons-Gibbs and Jessie Parsons-Gibbs; and his siblings, Agnes Meeks, Lonnie Gibbs, McKinley Gibbs, Homer Gibbs, Elzie Gibbs, Lillard Gibbs, Gordon Gibbs and Eugene Gibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Nell Rose Gibbs; and his sisters, Dola Shrum and Marlee Nunley (John). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
