She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Banks and Karen Wiser Banks; and her siblings, Betty Lou Banks, Inez Banks Newberry, Venitta Perry, Dorris Ann Aldridge, Reba Phene Williams, Porter Lee, John, Bill and Joe Banks.

She is survived by: her sons, Ricky and Randall Carter; and her sister Ruby Winton. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
