She was predeceased by: her parents, James Luther and Alice Parham Smith; her husband A. B. Ray; her siblings, Carl Smith, Lawrence Smith, Blanche Burt, Norma Coop and Pauline Merrill; and her granddaughter Krispin Nichol Ray.

She is survived by: her son Aubrey Gary Ray (Ophelia) of Cookeville; her grandchildren, Valerie Johnson, Tiffany Gentry (Mike) and Dustin Ray (Ashley); and her great grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Zachary Johnson, Madison Davis, Jathan Gentry and Max Snider.
