She is survived by: her son Jerrell Powell (Charlotte); her grandchildren, Chris Powell, Dewayne Powell (Stephanie) and Carolee Bransfield (Kenny); her great grandchildren, Klay Bransfield, Kole Bransfield, Memphis Powell and Jaxon Powell; and her sisters, Myrtle Gourley, Mary Jones and Martha Dillard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
