He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay D. Doan and Ruby Fanning Doan; his granddaughter Angel Metcalf; and his mother-in-law Willa Davis Chambers. He is survived by: his wife Debra Davis Doan; his children, Charles Doan (Crystal) of Unicoi, Jeffery Doan of Unicoi and Stephanie Metcalf (P. J.) of Unicoi; and his granddaughters, Jocelyn and Sierra Metcalf. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, David's wish was for others to give someone a rose while living and donate some time to your favorite charity.
