It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Maggard of Union City, Tennessee, born in Obion, Tennessee, who passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Betty may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by : her parents, Nolie Burress and Pauline Burress (Nash); and her sister Leoda Kemp. She is survived by : her siblings, Juanita Stone of Union City, Finis Burress (Judy) of Union City and Nolie Burress of Martin; and her pet Zoe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Edmaiston - Mosley Funeral Home (1200 S Miles Ave, Union City, TN 38261). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
