He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester "Becie" Ransom and Stella Ransom (Wyatt); his siblings, L. T. Ransom, Sylvia Williams and Joan Williams; and his parents-in-law, Cecil and Mary Ann Beachum.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ransom (Baker) of Union City; his sons, Keith Ransom (Julia) of Union City and Kevin Ransom (Kim) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Jonathan Ransom of Union City, Rebecca Ransom of Union City, Jack Ransom of Nashville, Sarah Ransom of Charlotte and Cooper Ransom of Charlotte; his siblings, Beverly Jane McDaniel of Union City and Bobby Ransom of Union City; and his niece Meagan Eason of Knoxville.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home (1200 S Miles Ave, Union City, TN 38261). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
