With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Bob Basham of Viola, Tennessee, who passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Stacy May Thaxton Basham; and his siblings, Annie Jane Basham, Frank Basham and Raymond Basham.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Haston Basham; his sons, Jerry Basham (Brenda Smith), Jimmy Basham (Jennifer), Rickey Basham (Jennie Sydenstricker) and Steve Basham; his brother Benton Basham; his grandchildren, Stacey Elam (Steven), Montgomery Basham (Niki), Will Basham (Breanna), Christopher Basham and Anisa Basham; and his great grandchildren, Ava Elam, Maverick Basham and Avery Kate Basham (James Taylor III).
