He was predeceased by : his parents, Scott Martin and Edna Britton Martin; his wife Eva Dowdy Martin; his children, Ralph Martin, Jr., Edna Prestidge and Geannie Keele; and his siblings, Scott Martin, Jr., Velva Ann Stacey and Pearl Williams.
He is survived by : his brother Organization; his daughters, Rose Chamness of Texas, Gail Hutcherson (Benny Hollis) of Fairview, TN and Ann Goodwin (David) of Memphis; and his sister Rubie Corkan of White Bluff. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 53 great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
