He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mummert and Mildred Plaszo Mummert; and his grandson Jake Rozell. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Mummert of White House, TN; his children, Donald Mummert (Jackie) of Ashland City, TN, Timothy Mummert of Cookeville, TN, Peter Mummert (Tanya) of Hendersonville, TN and Janie Crumley (Terry) of Chattanooga, TN; his grandchildren, Rhonda Mummert, Lisa Beasom, Rachel Mummert, Jennifer Rozell-Whitaker, Jewel Rozell, Jessica Rozell, Garrett Crumley, Matthew Mummert, Christopher Mummert, Alexis Mummert and Skylar Mummert; and his great grandchildren, Arrington Mummert, Aleigha Ellis, Andrew Beasom, Aiden Beasom, Alivia Beasom, Skylar Rozell-Whitaker and Huntleigh Rose Mummert.
