He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carl and Nola Taylor Jacks; his son Daniel Carl Jacks; his sister Dora June Carter; his siblings-in-law, Junior Laxton, Dean Lawson, Lonnie Terry, Gary Randolph, Les Reynolds, Bill Jones, Bess Jacks, Nellie Cotton and Louetta Laxton; his niece Megan Laxton; and his nephew Eddie Laxton.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Jacks; his brother George Martin Jacks of Lexington, KY; his nephews, Marty Jacks of Lexington, KY and Chris Carter of Knoxville, TN; his siblings-in-law, Chester Laxton of Oneida, Onas Cotton of Oneida, Jack Carter of Oneida, Mildred Laxton, Betty Lawson of Scott County, TN, Margaret Potter of Huntsville, TN, Ann Terry, Wilma Jones of Oneida, TN, Charlotte Randolph and Sandra Pleasant (Jimmy); his niece Michele Wilson (Darrell) of Lexington, KY; and his close friend Rob Stringer of Oneida, TN. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.
