She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert James and Mamie Myrtle Neely Street; her husband Sam G. Hackney; and her brothers, Floyd Street (Mildred), James Street (Nannie) and Bradley Street (Geneva).

She is survived by : her children, Patrick Wade Hackney (Angie) and Pamela Joy Jacobs; and her grandsons, Daniel V. Jacobs (Erin) and Benjamin E. Jacobs (Morgan). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
