It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Crabtree of Abernathy, Texas, who passed away on October 18, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Catherine Crabtree to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otey Shadden and Frona Mae Shadden of Cotton Center, Texas.; her husband Wayne Crabtree; her son Gary Crabtree; her son-in-law Ronnie Rieff; and her siblings, Lynn Shadden, Jimmy Shadden and Donna Powell.
She is survived by: her daughter Thresa (Kelly Cummings); her brother Otey Shadden; her daughter-in-law Karen Crabtree; her grandchildren, Kristie (Shaun Hurley), Travis Rieff (Ashley), Tiffany Williams and Daniel Crabtree; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Carson, Brooke, Pierce, Grayson and Trace. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Abell Funeral Home - Abernathy (411 16th St, Abernathy, TX 79311).
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Northside Baptist Church of Abernathy.
