She was predeceased by: her children, Aubrey Mendez and Omar Guajardo; and her granddaughter Mila Mendez. She is survived by: her parents, Joe Castillo and Elva Castillo; her children, Jacob Mendez (Mekel) and Justice Moncibaiz; her grandchildren, Jacoby Mendez, Julius Reeves and Xavier Kynard; and her siblings, Joe Castillo Jr. and Jessica Castillo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home Chapel (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).
