It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Hayes Cofer Jr. (Abilene, Texas), who passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hayes Cofer Sr. and Ethel Mae Cofer (Inmon); his sisters, Wanda Coffey, Bess Enis and Carol Chapman; and his granddaughter Kristen Nicole Cofer.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Boenker; his children, Brent Cofer (Linda), Mark Cofer (Jan) and Jennifer Cofer France; his grandchildren, Lindi Bruning (Bryan), Zachary Cofer (Tara), Jamie Sierra (Andrew), J. T. Cofer (Kia), Hannah Cofer, Christian Cofer, Lauren France and Jacob France; his brother Chris Cofer (Janie); his brother-in-law Bennie Enis; and his aunt Betty Carson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79602).
