He was predeceased by: his parents, Prudencio Mendez and Elosia Mendez (Sanchez); and his siblings, Roy Mendez, Erasmo Mendez, Martin Mendez and Mariana Mendez Navarro.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Mendez of Abilene, Bobby Mendez of Abilene, Jerry Mendez of Tennessee, Cosme Mendez of Colorado, Diana Mendez of Hale Center and Esmeralda Garza of San Antonio; and his siblings, Prudencio Mendez, Jr. of Levelland, Mario Mendez of Hale Center, Johnny Mendez of Hale Center and Lidia Mendez Valdivia of Hale Center.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ramage Funeral Directors (223 Main St, Hale Center, TX 79041). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Theresa's Catholic Church (504 E 13th St, Hale Center, TX 79041).
