It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Siewert Knaus (Abilene, Texas), born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, J. M. Hooks and Annell Whorton Hooks; and her husband Lawrence W. Siewert (Ronald R. Knaus). She is survived by : her brother Jim Hooks (Susan); her children, Susan Waller (Steve) of Albany, Julia Siewert of Abilene, Jill Fields (Rex) of Cisco and Tom Siewert of Hooks Ranch; her grandchildren, Andrew Waller, David Waller, Katie Mumford, Nicholas Galbraith, Molly Smith, Jackson Hanna, Emory Hanna, Channing Aulerich, Abigail Galliton, Bekah Parker, Eric Knaus (Angel) and Chanda Knaus; and her great grandchildren, Ella Waller, Harris Waller, Graham Waller, Luke Waller, Margot Mumford, Crosby Mumford, Caroline Smith, Olivia Smith and Peyton Marshall. She is also survived by her daughters and quilting for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Elmwood Memorial Park (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Meals on Wheels, Hendrick Hospice Care, or your favorite charity.
