He was predeceased by : his parents, Buddy Ransom and Johnnie Gladys Spillers Ransom. He is survived by : his former life partner Judy Lynn Gordon; his wife Judy Ransom of Alba; his children, Virgil Ransom of Alba and Roxie Lewers; his son-in-law Billy Horton of Alba; his sisters, Ann Devore of Quinlan and Patsy Josline of Grand Saline; his grandchildren, Timothy Lewers of Alba, Billy Horton, Jr. of Alba, Cammie Harris of Point, Sierra Ruth of Nebraska and Jennifer Crabb of Emory; his nephews, James Hawkins of Edgewood and James Means of Woodville; and his niece Maria Adams of Quinlan. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
