He was predeceased by : his wife Joanne Fincher; and his siblings, Wallace Pickens Fincher and Lynette Myers. He is survived by : his wife Peggy; his sons, Michael (Patty) of Hurst and Mitchell (Pam) of Austin; his grandchildren, Annagrace Small (Steven) of Houston and Rachel Fincher of Austin; his great grandchildren, Kingston Small, Sawyer Small, Joy Fincher and Josiah Fincher; his sister Barbara Craig Kelly of Abilene; his children, Beckie Gates (George) of Plattsburgh, NY, Lisa Demary (Mark) of Merritt Island, FL and Chareece Teague (Bobby) of Wichita Falls, TX; his grandchildren, April Majewski, Gretchen Russick, Mackenzi Demary, Tori Teague and Courtland Teague; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Morris and Judah Russick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and cousins.
