He is survived by : his close friend Gloria Ramos; his children, Kelly Cortez and Yvette Cortez; his grandchildren, Arabella Cortez and Kelly Cortez Jr.; his great grandchildren, Adan Cortez and Ian Phillips; his siblings, Ginny Zepeda (Ralph), Lionel Cortez (Marta), George Cortez (Alicia) and Enrique Cortez; and his friends, Angel "Kelly" Cortez, Kelly Cortez Jr., Ralph Zepeda, Aurelio Trejo III, George Cortez Jr., Cristobal Ochoa IV and Enrique Cortez Jr..
