He was predeceased by : his parents, Maximiliano Perez Sr. and Maria Valensuela Perez; his brothers, Juan Perez and Silverio Perez; his mother-in-law Patsy Juarez; his granddaughter Angel Nevaeh Acosta; and his pet Oreo.

He is survived by : his wife Virginia; his children, Amy Gonzalez (David), Shawna Thetford, Katrina Thetford and Davzia Carbajal (Joseph); and his sisters, Emma Aguirre (Louis) and Diane Newton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
