He was predeceased by : his mother Lois Bombei; his brother John Allen Bombei; and his niece Ashley Nutter. He is survived by : his granddaughter Ashley; his father John Warren Bombei of Plano, Texas; his sister Becky Nutter of Kingston, Oklahoma; his niece Kristi Peavy (Rick) of Little Elm, Texas; and his great-nephews, Jordy Peavy and Mureek Peavy.
