She was predeceased by: her husband Eugenio Ybarra; her parents, Gustavo Portillo and Ysidra Portillo; and her sisters, Celia Coronado, Luciana Leyva and Hortensia Celaya.
She is survived by: her children, Amalia Razo, Eugene Ybarra (Victoria) and Estella Vega (Ricky); her siblings, Peter Portillo, Gustavo Portillo, Esiquia Flores (Blackie), Rosalia Liberman, Cora Muniz and Flory Leyva; and her grandchildren, Abel Razo, Amanda Razo, Ruby Pallanez (David), Pablo Ybarra (Brandy), Crystal Cordew (Alberto), Bruno Ybarra (Ashley), Joel Vega (Blanca), Gabriel Vega (Jamie), Eugenio "Gino" Vega (Sarah), Tomas Vega (Jenn), Victor Vega, Miguel Vega (Ale) and Rikki Bea Vega.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (406 S 6th St, Alpine, TX 79830). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at the Holy Angels Cemetery (114 N 5th St, Alpine, TX 79830).
Donations may be made in Margarita's honor to the following organizations: Angel's Care Hospice, Our Lady of Guadalupe Organization, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church or Alpine Sunshine House Senior Center.
