He was predeceased by : his parents, James Fontenot and Emma Fontenot (Ardoin); and his siblings, Nukie (Frenchie), Emory, Herman, Hilda, Juanita, Helen and Caroline.

He is survived by : his wife Nadine Fontenot (Boggs); his brothers, Henry and Donald; his sons, Chad (Debbi) and Todd (Sheila); his grandchildren, Cory, Amanda Fontenot, Lauren (Mark Wottlin), Cameron Pool, Dylan Calicott and Seth Fontenot; his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Travis Fontenot; and his grandchildren, Emberly Wottlin and Cooper Pool.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (1421 Hwy 6, Alvin, TX 77511). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
