He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Dominga Alaniz; his stepfather Guadalupe Solis Sr.; his father Pedro Manuel Esparza; his wife Patricia Joyce Myers; his stepson Franklin Myers; his brothers, Jose Oscar Esparza (Joe), Guadalupe Solis, Jr., Joel Soliz Sr. and Juan Hector Solis Sr.; his siblings' children, Michael Flynn Jr. and Lisa Marie Solis; his son Ruben Esparza Jr. (Meagan); his grandchildren, Hunter and Scout of Sealy, Texas; and his siblings, Lilialdo Esparza (Nhieu) of Katy, Texas, Maria Sutton (Bobby) of League City and Belinda Hill (Brandon) of Texas City, Texas.
