He is survived by : his wife Lana Duck of Alvord; his children, Karen Hancock (John) of Bowie, Kristen Taylor (David) of Muenster and Gary Lee Handshumaker, Jr. of Azle; his stepchildren, Rick Denney (Michelle) of Chico, Stan Denney of Arlington and Kim Covarrubias of Lewisville; and his siblings, Dale of Coffeyville, Kansas, Steve of Coffeyville, Kansas, Mike Handshumaker of Coffeyville, Kansas, Sharon Caulkins of Coffeyville and Bettie Hill of Naperville, Illinois.
