He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Francis Perkins and Mary Moriah Rathburn Perkins; his son Jimmie Todd Perkins; and his siblings, Gladolia "Tootie" Hobart, Robert Perkins and William Perkins.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Maureen Morgan Perkins; his daughters, Jill Perkins Watson (Scott) of Houston, TX and Alecia Perkins of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Cody Canute of Amarillo, Tavin Lusk Gonzalez of Denver and Morgan Sumicek of New York City; and his great grandchild Cole Canute of Amarillo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109).
