He is survived by: his wife Joan Johnson Shelton; and his children, Malcolm Shelton (Claudia), Jim Shelton (Ginny), Elise Shelton Maynard (John) and Mary Ellen Shelton Puls (Larry). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
