Patricia Anne Smith, 78, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2024, at Your Summit Church, 2008 12th Ave, Canyon, TX 79015.
Patricia, also affectionately known as Trish or Pat, was born February 14, 1945, in San Bernardino, CA to Grand and Devota (York) England. Patricia was the second child of Devota and Grand. She loved and helped care for her siblings Dub, Tommy, Lee, Gail, Bonnie, and Shelia. She married her husband, the love of her life, when she was 21 years old. She and Jack owned several restaurants. She waited tables, worked at Owens Corning, Grace Baptist Church, and Modern Cleaners. Plus, she opened her home to care for over 100 foster children. She loved all children no matter their age or circumstances. She was a tiny woman with the world's biggest heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jack Smith.
Survivors include her children, Casey King; Kevin King and spouse Gerri King of Amarillo, TX; Jack Smith Jr. of Amarillo, TX; Lorelei Johnson and spouse Jeremy Johnson, of Canyon, TX; Patrick Smith and spouse Nutsabel Smith of Amarillo, TX; Julie Johnson and spouse Darren Johnson of Happy, TX; and Carrie Smith of Amarillo, TX. She has 20 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
