He was predeceased by : his parents, Maxie Ward, Sr. and Annie Fay Tyler Ward; and his daughter Rachel Ward. He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Elaine Pyle; his sons, Shawn and William "Bill" Ward II; his grandchildren, Rachel Ward, Jackie, Tristen, Savannah, Logan and Shane; and his siblings, Tonya Kissel (Frank), Danita Templeton (Brian) and William "Bill" Ward (Isabel).
