He was predeceased by : his parents, Ray Sanford Daugherty and Clara Virginia Daugherty; his brother Ray "Sandy" Daugherty; and his father-in-law Wilber Bodungen. He is survived by : his wife Diane; his stepson Chad Whitley (Christina); his grandchildren, Tawnee and Chad, Jr.; his siblings, Destry Daugherty, Angie, Rannie Daugherty, Cheryl Daugherty Garnett, Chris, Patricia Daugherty Pruitt and Travis; his mother-in-law Gladys Bodungen; and his siblings-in-law, Glenda McCain and Patrick Bodungen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles extended family and dear friends.
