She was predeceased by : her parents, Royal Van Grumbles and Mary Lee Grumbles; her grandchildren, David Karlson, Kimberly Hudson, Derrick Leister and Edward Polasek, Jr.; and her siblings, Towanda Whitton, Teressa Brightwell, Van Lee and Virgil Leroy Grumbles.

She is survived by : her husband Marvin Leister of Aransas Pass; her children, Thomas Leister (Donna) of Aransas Pass, Timothy Leister (Karen) of Corpus Christi, Charlene Lewis (Joe) of Aransas Pass, Mary "Cathy" Polasek (Edward) of Ingleside, Carolyn Kimmel (Mark) of Edgewood and Lynette Kay Melton of Ingleside, Texas; and her brothers, Curtis Grumbles (Sherry) of Pearland and Bobby Grumbles (Sharon) of Port Aransas, Texas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
