He is survived by : his wife Barb Burrus; his children, Chris Burrus (Courtney) and Jessica Burrus (Daniel); his stepdaughter Rachael Mireles (Richard); and his grandson Jim.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Grand Hall Crossroads Christian Church (6450 S State Hwy 360, Arlington, TX 76002). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Crossroads Christian Church (6450 S State Hwy 360, Arlington, TX 76002).
