He is survived by: his children, Catherine Highfill, Jim France (Amy) and Karen Hertberg; his grandchildren, Daniel Thom, Kendall, Casey France, Jennifer, Matthew (Tara) and Tim Hertberg; and his siblings, Gene, Gary and Shirley France. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

A Mass was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (2100 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dallas–fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
