With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Myers in Athens, Texas, who passed away on August 21, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Boyd H. Myers and Ruth A. Myers; his sisters, Mary J. Smith and Shirley J. Dunahue of Kenton, Ohio; his daughter Terri Jo Stracener (Myers); his wife Vivian Myers (Hicks); and his stepson Gary D. Hicks of Tyler, Texas..

He is survived by : his stepdaughter Gail Carnes (Travis) of Athens, Texas.; his stepgrandsons, Brannon Carnes (Lauren) and Elliot Carnes (Sherry); and also, Layla, Remi, Cotton, Sid and Breanna of Athens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fellowship Baptist Church of Athens, American Cancer Society or MADD.
