We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2025, at the age of 80, Bertha Yañez Riojas (Austin, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Yanez and Luz Yanez; her son Joe Robert Riojas; and her brothers, Toby, Richard, Rudy and Ray Yanez.
She is survived by: her husband Felix A. Riojas; her sons, Albert Riojas (Virginia) and Gilbert Riojas; and her grandchildren, Joe Robert Riojas Jr. (Karen), Kristie Carmelita Riojas, Albert Antonio Riojas, Veronica Rodriguez, Alex Flores and Frankie Flores. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services (2620 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1206 E 9th St, Austin, TX 78702). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Live Oak Cemetery (10739 Twin Creek Rd, Manchaca, TX 78652).
