She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John A. Mayes, Jr. and Lillie Hartman Mayes; her husband Marcel Gres; her son-in-law David DeBerry; her daughters, Judith DeBerry and Pat; her son-in-law Mac Shuford; her son John; her daughter-in-law Lisa Gres; and her grandchildren, Christina Leinard (Marcus), Quink DeBerry, Brooke Luz (Brett), Robert Shuford (Julie), Megan Cowell (Stuart) and Patrick Gres. She was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to All Saints Episcopal Church or the Assistance League of Austin.
