She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Thompson and Louise Thompson; her brother Ronnie Thompson; her grandmother Idella Bonner Fields-Jones; and her former husband James of Washington.

She is survived by: her children, Tina Thompson, James of Washington and Michael Thompson; her boyfriend Ronnie White; her grandchildren, Natayia of Washington, Traisha of Washington, Trey Royal Newsome and Mikihia Thompson; and her siblings, Elvira Thompson, Connie Thompson and Theodore Thompson. She is also survived by sister that was raised in the family, Carolyn Harris; a nephew; and a host of cousins and friends.
