He is survived by : his wife Anita Disch; his children, Ronald T. Sponberg (Barbara) of Houston and Sharla Lehrmann (Teresa) of Austin; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Sponberg Whalen, Carolyn Sponberg Bagchi of Houston, Sarah Lehrmann Bromiel of Golden and Lisa Lehrmann of Austin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Oliver Sponberg's memory to the University United Methodist Church, Austin, or to Hospice Austin.
