We are sad to announce that on May 29, 2025, Juan Martinez of Austin, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Juan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Juan is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Sanchez Martinez; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah Belinger and Rodney Joaquin Montoya Hernandez. He is survived by: his children, Elain Martinez Moreno (Michael), Johnny Martinez, Jr., Roland Martinez (Veronica) and Dora Pofahl (Cory); and his sister Felipa Soriano. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel (1615 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702). A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - East Side (1615 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1206 E 9th St, Austin, TX 78702). A committal service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Assumption Cemetery (3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704).
