Benavides and Sophia Garza Guerrero; his siblings, Irene Medina, Mary Galvan, Stella Alvarado, Anne Trevino and Frank Guerrero; his pet Shadow; his children, Rosie Benavides, Theresa Ann Melendez (Johnny Melendez), Sandra Jean Vasquez (Richard Vasquez), Joel Joseph Benavides and Lisa Marie Benavides; his grandchildren, Adrianna Renee Melendez, Joshua Tristan Melendez, Daniel Vicente Vasquez, Renata Olivia Vasquez, Elizabeth Anne Benavides and Emilia Grace Benavides; his great grandchildren, Josiah Eli Melendez, Joshua Tristan Melendez Jr., Jameson Michael Melendez and Kaylee Ann Melendez; and his siblings, Helen Castilleja, Alfred Benavides, Joe Angel Benavides Jr., Beatrice Benavides, Frances Loera and Betty Arnold. He was also cherished by other loving friends and family.
