She was predeceased by: her mother Bubbie. She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Cohen (Mark), Paula Katz (Sheila Bailey), Hilary Katz (Ted Roan) and Brenda Cohen (Jeff); her grandchildren, Elliot Cohen, Eden Cohen, Regan Cohen, Evan Katz-Gathercole, Stuart Cohen, Haylen Cohen, Tessa Katz-Gathercole and Taryn Cohen; and her siblings, Rose Marcus and Michel Marks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Eloise Woods Natural Burial Park (115 Northside Ln, Cedar Creek, TX 78612). A shiva was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at the Home of Brenda and Jeff Cohen (10906 Sierra Colorado, Austin, TX 78759).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lila's memory to The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden or Alzheimer's Association, two organizations that were meaningful to her and her family.
