He was predeceased by : his parents, Julia Jette and Hershel Kinsey. He is survived by : his wife Marcia Mae Dickson Kinsey; his sister Julia Welch; his children, Michael (Cathy Kinsey), Suzanne (Tim Taylor), David (Marcia Kinsey) and Matthew (Liv Kinsey); his close friends, Ben, Kristen Kinsey, Will Taylor, Elena Conde, Hannah Taylor, Jacob Steagald, Sophie, Zachary Walsh, Dominic Kinsey, Alyssa Byrd, Blair Kinsey, Maisie Kinsey, Cy Kinsey, Erin, Steve Jeffers and Justin Talley; his great grandchildren, Pepper Kinsey, Jaden, Skylar Talley, Harper and Beckett Jeffers; his nieces and nephews, Rachel Lendvay (Ray Foreman), Elisa Lendvay and Ryan Franklin; his nephew John; his niece Jessica Lendvay; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Oscar and Lazlo; his siblings, John, Marites Kinsey, Melissa Sanero (family: Dan Kinsey, Victor Kinsey, Christy Turner, Maria Juliana Murphy, Bryce), Andrew and Sarah Welch; and also Grayson.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at St. Edward's University (3001 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Richard Kinsey to The Marcia Kinsey Visiting Writer's Endowment or to St. Edward's University College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP).
