She was predeceased by : her parents, Rudolph Rosenkranz and Teresa Emilie (Odstrcil); her husband James Mahaffey; and her daughters, Ann Harrod and Colleen Fried.

She is survived by : her children, Marc (Christine) and Stephanie Braley (David).

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church of Elgin, where she was a member at the time of her death.
