She was predeceased by: her parents, Pascual Mata and San Juana Sotelo Mata; her husband Robert Arias, Sr.; and her siblings, Angel Mata, Sr., Juanita Luna, Margarita C. Aldelerete and Lucia Mata.

She is survived by: her children, Lenora Arias Reyna, Elisa Aparicio (David), Robert Arias, Jr. (Scarlett) and Sonya Grace Cruz (Cris); and her sisters, Soledad Vazquez, Patricia Cantu and Mary Jasso. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home (2313 Avenue I, Bay City, TX 77404). A rosary was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1412 12th St, Bay City, TX 77414).
