He was predeceased by : his parents, Emil LaViola and Eileen Callahan LaViola; his siblings, Anthony LaViola and Mary Ann Cryoskie; and his brother-in-law Bob Cryoskie.

He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth Ramos LaViola; his children, Angela (Jonathan Schneider) and John LaViola (Evette Garcia); his brothers, Emil LaViola (Susan), Timothy LaViola (Regina) and Jim LaViola; and his grandchildren, Emilee, Jacob, Cole Schneider, Logan, Tanner and Evelyn LaViola.

A rosary was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1412 12th St, Bay City, TX 77414). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

He made sure to donate pizzas to the Women's Crisis Center when they had families staying.
