She was predeceased by : her father Jose Garcia Leon; and her son Salvador Chavez, Jr.. She is survived by : her mother Maria L. Ramirez; her children, Belen Chavez and Eduardo Chavez Garcia; her siblings, Susana Garcia, Azucena Garcia, Martha Garcia, Jose Juan Garcia, Rocio Garcia and Ramiro Garcia; and her grandson Josiah Chavez.

A rosary was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1412 12th St, Bay City, TX 77414). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
