It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jan Hoover (Baytown, Texas), born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Griffin Sr. and Irene Griffin Knox; her husband Phillip Wayne Hoover; her brothers, James Griffin and Don Griffin; and her daughter-in-law Robyn Hoover.
She is survived by: her sons, Neal Hoover of Baytown, Dennis Hoover of Baytown and Martin (Amy Hoover) of Denton, TX.; and her granddaughters, Sondra (Tim Murray), Jennifer (Brad Compton), Brittany Hoover and Nicole Hoover. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Navarre Funeral Home (2444 Rollingbrook Dr, Baytown, TX 77521). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sterling-White Cemetery (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562).
