He was predeceased by: his parents, James Malcolm Sr. and Melba B. Moody; and his daughter Melissa Joyce Horta. He is survived by: his wife Deborah (Debbie); his children, Shane Moody (Leah) and Michelle Helm; his grandchildren, Sierra Hinton (Nathan), Ryan Helm, Savannah Hunt (Caeden), Karianna Horta, Melanie Horta of Kayla Helm, A. J and Lane Moody; his great grandchildren, Briley and Cooper Hunt; and his siblings, Cynthia Gore, Donna Boullion (Gil), Melba Waller, Jimmy Moody (Colleen) and Barry Moody (Pam). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Earthman Baytown Funeral Home (3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery (8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521).
